(June 9, 2014) Continuing with his success in the Pro Formula Mazda, Alex now has won 7 of 8 races in the Formula Car Challenge and he has won all 8 pole positions. This past weekend, he won races 7 and 8 at Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca. On Saturday he had a sizable lead until two cautions allowed his competitors to close the gap. Parker Nicklin got by Alex and a lap later, the two raced side by side through turns 2 through 8. With a pass on the left just before the corkscrew, Alex was able to regain the lead and take the win. Alex’s next race is in Portland over the 4th of July.
