(July 5, 2014) With two wins in races 9 and 10 in Portland, Oregon, Alex will win the championship for the Formula Car Challenge. Thursday was a practice day and the team spent the afternoon and evening repairing the front wing of the car after he had to avoid a car that spun in right in front of him in a practice session. On Friday, Alex got the pole and took the lead from the beginning of the race. On Saturday, he took the pole again – at the start Parker Nicklin took the lead but Alex regained the lead a few laps in and drove the to the finish in that position.
The final race of the Formula Car Challenge will take place in September.
